SDT Institute Sezana in cooperation with the Portal Community CeSDT, Section for Screen, Pad and Digital Print Slovenia, suported by FESPA, sponsors McNeel Europe - Rhinoceros software, Z Corporation, Materialise are holding a 3D modeling contest this year also for visual communication.
Current contest relates
to scooter tuning. Electric scooter is environment friendly vehicle and
alternative way of city transport.

The main goal is to introduce applicability of 3D technologies - of 3D
scanning, 3D modeling and 3D printing to a wider public through
creativity and knowledge of young people.

The Adriatic Print and Photo Forum 2007 is a two day international showcase and seminar for print and photo branches in countries of the Adriatic region and other countries of EU: Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands.
This years' event, which took place on November 14th and 15th at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering. During these two days the Slovenian capital has become the focal point of newest printing and photographic technologies.

V Ljubljani bo v prostorih Naravoslovnotehniške fakultete (NTF) 14. in 15. novembra potekal mednarodni forum tiska in fotografije – Adriatic Print and Photo Forum 2007.
Dvodnevno srečanje tiskarjev in fotografov iz regije bodo zaznamovala predavanja mednarodno priznanih strokovnjakov, med katerimi velja izpostaviti Nicholasa Hellmutha, ustanovitelja organizacije FLAAR (www.flaar.org) in priznana imena iz vrst krovne tiskarske federacije FESPA (www.fespa.com). Poleg strokovnih vsebin bosta med vrhunci tudi predstavitev 3D fotografije in 3D tiska, udeleženci pa se bodo lahko seznanili tudi s knjigo FESPA Sensations.
Adriatic Print Forum je izjemna priložnost za srečanje izobraževalnih ustanov in gospodarstva, saj se ga bodo udeležili tudi študenti grafičnih fakultet, ki predstavljajo prihodnost tiskarske branže. Zaradi te fuzije prihajajočih tehnologij in kadra prihodnosti, je letošnji dogodek resnično edinstven in ponuja tudi številne priložnosti za pokrovitelje.

Nashua, NH; February 19, 2007 -- WhatTheyThink.com, a leading
online publication serving the printing and publishing industry, has
announced the acquisition of Electronic Publishing. The
purchase triples WhatTheyThink.com's subscriber base from 15,000 to
over 45,000 subscribers. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.
Electronic Publishing, a 30-year old publication owned by
PennWell Corp., provides design, printing, and publishing professionals
with authoritative information on technology, products, and trends. In
2006, PennWell eliminated the printed edition of Electronic Publishing to focus on the digital distribution of content via the website, webcasts, and email newsletters. Electronic Publishing is well known for analyzing new directions in prepress and printing products and business technology.

HP today introduced a new version of the HP-UX 11i operating system
and new HP Integrity servers to help make mission-critical
virtualization practical for businesses of all sizes.
The latest release of HP's strategic UNIX operating environment, HP-UX 11i v3,
makes virtualization easier to deploy and delivers mission-critical
virtualization by combining virtualization and mainframe-class
availability. Also, with HP-UX 11i v3, important applications,
including business intelligence and data warehousing, are now simpler
to secure and manage.
