We wanted to present to students that profession they have chosen is very interesting and it will be perspective especially for those who want to educate in graphical and multimedia branches. We have been greatly satisfied because of feedback of students and other participants from different printing areas.

Representatives of SDT Institute (which was organiser of Slovenian Print Forum 2007) were listing students in front of entrance to the Blue Hall (students who left their contact details, get by e-mail an username and password for Forum’s lectures content accessing), they were inscribing new members to SDT Section and gathering entrance fee for the Forum.

Participation at the Forum for students of graphics and multimedia fields was free, because we are aware that those build the future of printing industry. Also members of SDT Section have special discounts in participation of our seminars (depend on status of membership), which is also a reason of gaining more and more members recently.

At the Forum we tried to indicate directions of the market at the moment and which are market needs for today and for tomorrow, how to organize business and professions of future.

We represented to screen printers some of market niches and we represented also some statistical data, which were intervened from Bundesverband Druck und Medien e.V. (BVDM) – German Association for Print and Media.

David Škrl, president of the Section SDT, who greeted all participants, also prepared lecture about special effects in screen printing.

We are very proud of this achievement because this is recognition more to our SDT Section for well done work in FESPA organisation.

FESPA organized strategically conference for 100 the most influent people of printing industry from 28 European countries. We succeeded to send 4 Slovenian people of printing branch to this event. We are very proud in this achievement, as this has been another confession to our SDT Section for well done work in the FESPA organization.

We could examine also the first representation from set of demonstrations of successful business practices, which have been organised from Section SDT of Slovenia. At least followed a short presentation of the largest world branch Screen and Digital Printing fair, FESPA Berlin 2007 (5th – 9th of June) and the project of STD Institute, named 3D Print Forum: Let’s make it in 3D!, which will be our way of presentation at FESPA in Berlin. We challenged all presented to pre-register on www.fespa2007.com and assure themselves free tickets for FESPA event.

At exhibition place in C1 hall we were having located our own stand all time of duration of the Celje fair, where we promoted FESPA and FESPA Berlin 2007.

General impression of Slovene printing event has been marvellous, because it was the first time, when so many students, professors an representatives of printing branch would be gathered at the same place. Participants were the same opinion that it had been too few seminars in Slovenia by now and they hope that some similar event will happen very soon. We completely agree with their thoughts and we could say that the Section SDT will make an effort to organise smaller meetings already in this year, where themes, which were represented at the Slovenian Print Forum2007 will be worked on more in detail.

Forum was concluded by David Škrl, the president of SDT Section with words: “Please rise a hand, who dare to doubt about future of printing!”
