We are very proud to say that we also invited some selected faculties in cooperation with co-organizer Faculty of National Sciences and Engineering to visit APPF 2007. The best students (with mentors) from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Czech Republic came to the Seminar on organizers expenses. They took part the APPF 07 in live because we are aware that they represent the future of Print and Photography!
Students and professors could attend the event without admission - but a live video web cast to selected faculties in Europe enabled those who can not make it to Ljubljana to witness all the buzz of the event. This was a special feature of the event and enables live transfer of knowledge to locations: England (FESPA and Augustus Martin Company), Beijing University (China), Graphical school in Novi Sad (Serbia) and some others faculties.

This two-day get together of printers and photographers from the Adriatic region was marked by lectures by internationally established experts, including keynotes by Nicholas Hellmuth, the founder of FLAAR organization ( www.flaar.org), and sessions by acknowledged names from the European print federation FESPA (www.fespa.com).
At the very core of the event is the presentation of printing with UV curable inks.

As a premiere in the region, we saw the presentation of capabilities and advantages of UV curable printing, which is the next big thing in printing and a core element of APPF 2007. The technique delivers the same superb quality as solvent printing - onto any imaginable surface and material! In a much simpler process that doesn't involve health or environment issues. There's a green light shinning on the future of print!
Beside this world level lectures participants enjoyed presentations of cutting edge technologies of 3D Photography and 3D Print, and get aquainted with the FESPA Sensations book.
Highlights of the Seminar:
  • How can we improve input for digital printing with better knowledge of using digital cameras?
  • Fine Art digital printing and Short-run digital printing
  • First presentation of 3D Photography connected with 3D printing
  • Display of web conference usage and show this simple and productive tool for better cooperation and larger efficiency of projects.
  • Digital printing with UV curable inks is the next big thing and challenge in printing industry
  • Sensational FESPA Sensations book
  • Young innovations
  • How to get funding from EU Funds?
The Adriatic Print and Photo forum 2007 broke through the wall of traditional 'seminar' boundaries by using the newest webcasting technology to transmit live video from the lectures to selected European faculties and their students.
The event is also an important entry point into the branch especially for young talents from the whole region. Students could meet and talk with many interesting people from printing and photography branches and acquire fresh new knowledge and experiences.
More than 500 people from Adriatic region and other countries of EU took part in the APPF 2007!
